The Spirituality of Ethnobotany with John Mionczynski and Lakota Medicine Man Bow Hacker Saturday August 17th and Sunday August 18th from 10:00 am through 3:00 pm at the Healing Barn 6190 Heck of a Hill Rd.
This workshop goes to the heart of ethnobotany (and far beyond into Lakota culture dispelling myths) is the foundation of John Mionczynski's work. This two-day workshop includes many different plants and traditions Bow will describe in spiritual terms as to what these plants mean in Lakota medicine traditions and ceremonies. John will provide scientific evidence supporting the veracity of the healing uses of these plants by the Lakota people for thousands of years. Be prepared to ask questions about Lakota traditions.
This workshop will also include a plant walk so make sure you bring your hats and sunscreen along with ample water for hydration. Also mosquito repellant is helpful as well. We will provide lunches for people both days. Please let me know if you have any dietary restrictions and I will make sure that I do my best to meet your needs.
The workshop starts on Saturday, August 17 from 10:00 am through 3:00 pm and Sunday, August 18 from 10:00 through 3:00 pm.
